Studio

Built in 1977, my studio houses my own work space, a classroom, and a showroom for finished work. We built using salvaged materials whenever possible, so the studio has the look of an older building.

The kiln shed houses three kilns: a salt kiln, a cone ten reduction kiln, and a small electric kiln for bisque firing.

We live in a lovely spot, overlooking the Rockfish River, near Nellysford, in Nelson County, Virginia. You’re welcome to come see the kilns and the work in progress, and to browse the studio showroom, which is open Tuesday-Saturday (and Sunday-Monday by appointment). Since it functions on an honor system, you do not need to make an appointment before visiting.

If I am here. I’ll be happy to show you around. If I’m not available, you are welcome to explore on your own. If you have not visited before, be sure to follow these driving directions.  A car GPS will get you here eventually, but these are more direct!

Classes meet Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings. You may stop by during them, but be forewarned that I won’t have time to show you around.
