I teach pottery classes in my Nelson County studio near Nellysford.  Adult students at all levels of experience are welcome.  Classes meet for three hours, once a week, on Monday evenings or Wednesday mornings.  Class sessions last ten weeks, and cost $300.  That fee covers materials and supplies, but not firing charges. Practice time is available when class is not in session.  Maximum class size is nine.  Classes run January to October.  During November and December, I convert the classroom into an expanded showroom.

Here are my class “Rules”, a handout with  Notes on Glazing and a sheet for figuring out firing fees. There are comments about classes here in my Guestbook,  if you want a feel for the experience!  While most of the class emphasis is on making functional pottery working on the wheel, students are also free to explore sculptural and handbuilding techniques.
